Best practices - Briefing and debriefings

Hey all,

Hope you are well!

As of November I am working in the MSF office in Stockholm leading a project to review and provide a better model for our briefing/debriefing procedures of our staff leaving for missions. It's a four month project, and the model should be ready to be implemented early next year.

As such, you can find me at a new professional e-mail address: john.tzanos@msf.org, but more importantly I would appreciate these first coming weeks (when I am doing a lot of information gathering, interviews etc) to know about your experience and ideas of best practices when it comes to briefings/and debriefings of staff.

Don't hesitate to contact me directly with any information, documentation and/or your availability to further discuss this topic and what I should think about including in an improved/perfect briefing model :)

Hope to hear from you soon.

With my best regards,

John

Best practices - Briefing and debriefings

Thanks to share this with us. Sounds like a very interesting project and I am sure there is excellent relevant experience in the group. Organizational models of how to best organize and improve internal information-sharing, especially before and after missions are important and critical to most agencies actually.

I would be happy to be interviewed by you (in return also for my interview with you) based on my own experience in previous (non-academic) lives, so please feel free to contact me to find a day and time. Greetings from Cambridge, US. Cecil
