Sida and HPCR launches New Training Portal for the ATHA Program
Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University (HPCR) have put together a humanitarian educational program.
As of June 2009, the program will have its new communication platform. The organizers' have tried to be as innovative as possible,
The Advanced Training Program on Humanitarian Action (ATHA) is about enhancing the knowledge of NGOs and other relevant actors operating in the humanitarian field and creating greater awareness of the relationship between development cooperation and humanitarian operations in complex environments. The program aims to build a foundation of a profound and continuous dialogue on humanitarian issues among NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
We hope that the program activities, presented at this new information and training platform, will provide an opportunity for professional development within humanitarian action, both on organizational level as well on individual level.
